8/8/07:  Many thanks to Jack Murphy who hosted our initial workout at his facility...Jack’s Gym (see below and at http://www.mykickboxing.com).  Very nice facility with a friendly feel.  Photos of Mr. Hackett, Sr can be seen plastered around the place.  Great 22’ tri-level ring with a makeshift ring on the left and MMA cage on the right...Jack worked the ring matches for all of us and gave some good pointers and tips after we we’re done.  Hope to get back there soon...

06/19/07:  Greg will be hosting a night at the fights at Jack's Gym located in Newark, DE this coming Sat evening at 6 pm.  Come join some of the team members as we venture out to see the real thing...

8/10/06:  Funding still being worked out.  Members are encouraged to get with Jasper to get their initial dues paid.  Remember that the goal will be to keep going for an extremely minimal fee (hopefully just the start-up fee)...but...it all depends on how well we’re nourished by Recreational Clubs organization.  More to come.

8/12/06:  Training is ongoing with about 8 regular BBC members.  Additionally, Greg is training some 5 boxers in various stages of their amateur/professional careers.

BBC getting some visibility.  White Collar Boxing Assn (located in UK) is looking for a Boeing team (for exhibition matches) as soon as we can stand one up.  Could be travel involved if we’re good enough.

8/16/06:  Working to start-up 3 additional BBC locations.  One for our Boeing - Chicago employees, one for our Puget Sound, and one for our St Louis folks.  Still looking for good (local) people to “spearhead” these clubs at these particular sites.  Here’s where we are with each.

Chicago:  Have been working with Steve Imparl of the Chicago Athletic Association (CAA) Boxing Team (http://www.caaboxing.org) to help us startup in downtown Chicago for awhile now.  Steve and the Board of Directors of CAA are ready to “roll out the red carpet” and accept operations of a BBC at their facility.  Extremely nice offer.  Need to jump on this ASAP.  If you remember, Steve’s group was the hosting organization for the March ’06 Irish Team fight card which pitted some of Ireland’s national team against local Chicago amateurs.  Steve, himself, fought one of the exhibition bouts.

Puget Sound:  Working with owners of Ring Sports United (http://www.ringsportsunited.com) training facility located in Bellvue, WA.  Home to many amateur fighters with additional kick-boxing and MMA capabilities.

St. Louis:  Working with Jamie Mushlin and Matt Brown; co-owners of the Clayton Gym – Sweat (http://www.sweatstlouis.com) .  Again, Jamie and Matt have offered to have BBC members train/operate at their facility in the upscale community of Clayton, MO complete with onsite trainers/coaches.  Details to be worked out.

All locations are very, very “up scale” boxing facilities and have a very elite clientele base.  Please review websites for more on their locations.

Anyone (Boeing employee) located up in Chicago, out in Seattle, or in St Louis area who would want to help spear-head any of these “francise-type” activities...please contact Mike Warburton at 610 591-6958.  Your help is definitely needed and welcomed.
